The Eau Claire boys’ basketball team travelled to Wagener-Salley on Friday, December 4, 2020, and pulled away late to win 58-52. Wagener-Salley opened the game on a 16-6 run, but the Shamrocks took their best shot and closed to within 1 point 22-21 at the end of the first half. The Shamrocks turned up the pressure in the second half outscoring the Eagles 23-13 in the 4th quarter to win by 6 points. The win moves the Shamrocks to 4-1 on the season. Andrew Owens was the player of the game with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Jamodicus Singleton hit 3 big 3 pointers and finished with 11 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assist. William Brown chipped in with 7 points and 9 rebounds. The Shamrocks will be off until Friday when they try to move their record to 5-1 when they take on the Hornets of C.A. Johnson High School.
